Le ministre du Travail, de l’Emploi et de l’Économie sociale et solidaire, Nicolas Schmit et le ministre de la Sécurité sociale, Romain Schneider, présideront une réunion informelle des ministres de l’Emploi et des Affaires sociales de la zone euro le matin du 5 octobre 2015 à Luxembourg.
Cette réunion informelle vise à un premier échange de vues entre les ministres de l’Emploi et des Affaires sociales de la zone euro sur la possible plus-value d’une telle réunion à composition restreinte dans le cadre de l’approfondissement de la gouvernance de l’Union économique et monétaire.
"La Présidence luxembourgeoise du Conseil de l’Union européenne organise cette réunion informelle des ministres de l’Emploi et des Affaires sociales de la zone euro, car nous jugeons essentiel de pouvoir mener un débat de fond sur les défis spécifiques auxquels sont confrontés les États-membres partageant une même monnaie", explique Nicolas Schmit.
La réunion informelle aura lieu avant la réunion formelle du Conseil "EPSCO". Dans un esprit de transparence, la Présidence informera le Conseil "EPSCO" de toutes les discussions de la réunion informelle.

Informal Meeting of Ministers for Employment and Social Affairs of the euro area to be held in Luxembourg on 5 October 2015
The Minister for Labour, Employment and Social and Solidarity Economy, Nicolas Schmit, and the Minister for Social Security, Romain Schneider, will chair the informal meeting of Ministers for Employment and Social Affairs of the euro area to be held in Luxembourg on the morning of 5 October 2015.
This informal meeting will provide the first opportunity for Ministers for Employment and Social Affairs of the euro area to exchange views on the potential added value of such a meeting with a reduced composition within the context of extending the governance of Economic and Monetary Union.
"The Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union has convened this informal meeting of Ministers for Employment and Social Affairs of the euro area because we believe it is necessary to be able to have substantial discussions on the specific challenges facing Member States which share the same currency," explained Nicolas Schmit.
The informal meeting will be held before the EPSCO Council. For the sake of transparency, the Presidency will notify the EPSCO Council of all the discussions conducted during the informal meeting.

Informelles Treffen der Minister für Beschäftigung und Soziales des Euroraums am 5. Oktober 2015 in Luxemburg
Der Minister für Arbeit und Beschäftigung sowie Sozial- und Solidarwirtschaft, Nicolas Schmit, wird gemeinsam mit dem Minister für soziale Sicherheit, Romain Schneider, am Morgen des 5. Oktober 2015 in Luxemburg den Vorsitz bei einem informellen Treffen der Minister für Beschäftigung und Soziales des Euroraums führen.
Dieses informelle Treffen soll einem ersten Meinungsaustausch zwischen den Ministern für Beschäftigung und Soziales des Euroraums über den möglichen Mehrwert eines solchen Treffens im engeren Kreis im Rahmen der Vertiefung der Steuerung in der Wirtschafts- und Währungsunion dienen.
"Der luxemburgische EU-Ratsvorsitz veranstaltet dieses informelle Treffen der Minister für Beschäftigung und Soziales des Euroraums, da es unserer Ansicht nach wichtig ist, eine Grundsatzdebatte über die konkreten Herausforderungen, denen sich die Mitgliedstaaten mit gleicher Währung gegenübersehen, führen zu können", erklärte Nicolas Schmit.
Das informelle Treffen wird vor der formellen Tagung des Rats "Beschäftigung, Sozialpolitik, Gesundheit und Verbraucherschutz" (EPSCO) stattfinden. Der Ratsvorsitz wird den EPSCO-Rat im Sinne der Transparenz über alle während des informellen Treffens geführten Diskussionen in Kenntnis setzen.
